Finding the Perfect Pink Exterior House Paint
I’m on the hunt for the perfect pink exterior house paint. If you read my last post you know we have pivoted from our original exterior palette to a light pink exterior! Now comes the hard (but fun) part, CHOOSING the perfect pink color.
I shared the reasons for this change in that last blog post but upon researching exterior paints, I happily discovered that pink exteriors are on trend for 2023. Better Homes & Gardens wrote about pink in its top 2023 Exterior Paint color trends report, “Whilst our broader perception of pink may feel like a step too far for the exterior of your home, we are not in the Barbie zone here,” says O’Donnell. “Rather, something much more subtle and elegant.”
Now we’re not going for a crazy neon Barbie or bubblegum pink but shopping for more subtle blush pink shades. I recently swatched these 4 shades from Benjamin Moore: Pink Sea Shell, Touch of Pink, Orchid Pink and Authentic Pink.
Pink House Exterior Inspiration
Of course there are SO MANY amazing paint brands out there and if any of them wanted to sponsor our pink beach house, just hit me up. wink, wink. It’s been so hard to choose the perfect pink! Other colors/ brands that we’ve considered are Sherwin William’s Mellow Coral, which you may know from YoungHouseLove’s Beach House and Charming Pink which was featured on an artistic home in Houstonia Magazine. For a super subtle pink house paint, I am also kind of loving Farrow & Ball’s Middleton Pink. I’d have to swatch these on our actual construction to see them in the light.
For the trim color I am leaning toward the crisp white of Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. I am undecided on a front door color, but this teal one is pretty great! This home is supposedly located on Amelia Island which is close to me!! I’m determined to find it!
