Bible Verses to Bless New Home Construction
Recently I shared our newest and biggest project, the construction of Amelia’s Cay. Today I am sharing the bible verses I have chosen to include in the actual construction of our tiny house on the lake. Since I wanted to make sure that the bible and our beliefs are part of the foundation of our new home, have taken the opportunity to write important bible verses onto the literal foundation and on the studs to become part of the actual construction.

Adding these scriptures though out our home is a meaningful and personal way to bless our home for the future. Of course, if you are not religious you could choose to include other quotes or messages that are perfect for your own home and family. Imagine knowing that there are special messages in the very construction of your home. ❤️
Bible Verses to Bless Your Home
These are the scriptures I chose to include (so far) in on our framing:
- “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you.” Numbers 6:24-26
- “You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.” Deuteronomy 28:6
- “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
- “When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.” Proverbs 3:24
- “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” Isaiah 43:2
- “His mercies are new every morning.” Lamentations 3:23
- “Give us this day, our daily bread”. Matthew 6:11
As you can see, incorporating bible verses into your construction is as easy as simply writing the verses onto the studs with a sharpie or paint pen. This can be a personal activity or you could include the family or even make it a small party by providing pens and verses to a group of friends and family and inviting them to add the verses to parts of the construction.
More Bible Verses for Your Home
Here are some other suitable scriptures you may want to include in your home construction, remodel or decor.
- “Peace be to this house.” Luke 10:5
- “For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything.” Hebrews 3:4
- “By wisdom, a house is built and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” Proverbs 24:3-4
- “Give us clean hands and pure hearts.” Psalm 24:4
- “The Lord will protect you from danger; He will keep you safe. He will protect you as you come and go, now and forever.” Psalm 121:8
- “Where you go, I’ll go. Where you stay, I’ll stay.” Ruth 1:16
- “Peace be to you, and peace be to your house, and peace be to all that you have.” 1 Samuel 25:6
- “I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Joshua 1:5
Of course these lists are by no means complete. Choose quotes or verses that are meaningful to you and your family. And if you have already built your home, it’s not too late to incorporate bible verses or favorite quotes into your home. If you are repainting, you can easily paint or write your chosen verse and paint over it. Remodeling? Add scriptures into your construction.
