Round Up of my Favorite Holiday Mugs and an Easy Hot Cocoa Topper Recipe
It’s time for my favorite holiday mugs round-up. If you’ve followed my socials for any period of time, you’ve probably figured out that I’m a softie for a cute mug! Seriously! There should be a support group. I’m getting ready to move, and well, there are A LOT of mugs (and glassware) to pack.
In addition to my favorite mugs, I am also sharing a delicious and EASY hot cocoa topper. This recipe can be assembled in minutes but adds a bit of fun to your hot chocolate. Read on for the How To!

Favorite Holiday Mugs
This season there were plenty of adorable mugs to choose from. I went heavy on the Santa theme this year because these jolly faces are too cute! I love having cute mugs on hand to stuff with some hot cocoa packets or coffee pods, candy canes, tea, cookies or other small treats. These make great small gifts for teachers, the mail carrier and as other small gifts. You could also print out your favorite Hot Chocolate Recipe to include.
Fotini Tikkou Santa & Mrs Claus Mugs – I love that Mrs Claus is represented in a holiday mug and the fact she (and her matching Santa mug) are wearing non-traditional garb is an added bonus. Both are delightfully adorable. Getting both mugs would a fun gift for a couple this holiday season.
The Christmas Tree Mug is from Target’s Wondershop and is only $5 making it a prime candidate for inexpensive gifts. I am always so thrilled when holiday mugs come with affordable making them attainable in addition to being cute!
The pink Santa mug is so cute and on trend, I bet they will sell out quickly! There is something so magical about pastel colors and Christmas combined and the sweet features on this jolly little guy just make me smile. He’s a top contender for favorite holiday mug this year!
I am absolutely crazy for this entire set of Gingerbread Village serve ware and accessories from Pottery Barn this year! Seriously, take all my money! So it should come as no surprise that the Gingerbread House lidded mugs landed on my list this year. They are just so cute with their candy cane striped handles and the adorable piped details.
These White Santa Mugs are classic and iconic. They would match any decor and be relevant on your holiday table for years to come. They have plenty of detail under their crisp, white glaze.
Here’s another adorable $5 cutie. This winky Santa face mug holds a whopping 20 oz for hard core cocoa drinkers and coffee aficionados. His rosy cheeks and happy smile epitomize the holiday spirit landing him on my favorites list this year!

Wondershop’s Gingerbread House mug is pretty darn cute and the price point is 👌🏻 at $5. The classic Christmas colors make it a great addition to traditional Christmas decor. Super fun for kids.
We really know who does all the work at Christmas right? Recognize YOUR Mama Claus with this cute pink mug. Another affordable option from Target, this cutie would be perfect in Mom’s Christmas stocking or stuffed with some treats as a holiday gift.
I told you I was obsessed with gingerbread this year. This sweet Gingerbread Man mug makes my favorite holiday mug list for that reason, plus his adorable smile. Your kiddos would have equally big grins finding this adorable gingerbread man filled with hot chocolate on Christmas Morning!
Easy Hot Cocoa Topper
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- holiday sprinkles.
Directions:
Whisk cream in a chilled glass or metal bowl with an electric mixer until frothy. Add confectioners’ sugar & vanilla; continuing to beat until soft peaks form. Line a baking sheet (that will fit in your freezer) with parchment paper. Add whipped cream to piping bag with a star tip. Pipe clouds of whipped cream and decorate with festive sprinkles or crushed peppermints. Freeze for at least three hours or overnight. Use a spatula to remove toppers. Add to cup of hot cocoa and enjoy!!

Replace homemade whipped cream with Cool Whip or bottled whipped cream.
