Easy Easter Dessert Hacks to Make Entertaining a Cinch
These easy Easter dessert decorating hacks will impress your guests with minimal effort and maximum impact. Whether you’re hosting a gathering with family and friends or simply looking to add some seasonal flair to your Easter table, these easy hacks will make Easter entertaining a cinch!
Daisy Cupcake Decorating Hack
This adorable spring cupcake decorating hack is as easy as 1-2-3! Just snip jumbo marshmallows into 5 slices (leaving bottom in tact) using kitchen shears. Spread apart and arrange into a flower shape, pinching sticky ends together to secure. Arrange on top of an iced cupcake. Place a yellow M&M in the center. Sprinkle with a little sanding sugar for a little sparkle. Voila!
Easy Coconut Easter Bunny Cake
Here’s another super simple hack to turn a plain Jane layer cake into an adorable Easter cake. Grab a coconut cake from your favorite store, a couple of jumbo marshmallows and some pink sanding sugar. Cut marshmallow in half diagonally and sprinkle cut side with sanding sugar to coat. Place on cake like rabbit ears. Use a small piece of marshmallow on the back like a bunny tail. Add sprinkles if desired.
* This is especially fun with coconut cake because the coconut resembles hair but you can also decorate a plain white frosted cake the same way if you do not like coconut.
Spring Bird’s Nest Cookie
To create these whimsical birds nests gather some sugar or shortbread cookies, white frosting, green sprinkles and chocolate egg candy. ( I used Cadbury Mini Eggs) Frost the tops of the cookies with about 1/4″ layer of frosting and add sprinkles in ring to form a “nest”. Add 3 egg candies inside.
* You could substitute dyed coconut in place of the sprinkles for the nest and fill nests with pastel M&Ms, mini Easter bunnies, Peeps or other candies too!
Bird’s Nest Cupcake Hack
Store bought cupcakes don’t have to be boring. Use this hack to turn them into Spring themed cuties that are perfect for Easter parties and celebrations!
Grab some cupcakes, pastel M&Ms or chocolate egg candies and a block of semi-sweet chocolate. Use a vegetable peeler to shave chocolate until you have approximately 1/4-1/2 cup. Using a butter knife or spatula, scrape off frosting to make a sort of donut shaped indentation in the frosting. Sprinkle chocolate shavings into the indentation to create a “nest”. Add M&Ms or chocolate candies to represent eggs on your cupcake nests. Enjoy!
